LOT 39: SC BIG TIME CASH 2014 Sorrel Gelding
ROCKY is a rock-solid, easy-to-ride, broke and gentle guy. Rocky was blessed with natural athletic ability that allows him to succeed in any discipline or task. He rides around with a good enough handle to take to a ranch horse show, he stops correct, spins quick and has a pretty way of moving. Raised on an Alabama ranch, Rocky spent his younger years covering all kinds of country. He’s recently been used at our Texas yearling operation where he’s put in long days doctoring cattle and sorting in pens. He’s been belly-deep in mud and spent hours tied to a fence and in trailers. Dogs, whips, any kind of commotion—nothing will phase this guy. A ranch horse deluxe, Rocky handles everything with a good attitude. As a rope horse, Rocky is great to head and heel on and will fit just about anyone on both sides. He’s a perfect size at 15hh; big enough to easily head on but not too big to heel on. He is fast footed and goes exactly where you point him, at whatever speed you ask. He went to Arizona this fall and was used at the World Series of Team Roping Finale by two different headers. He is great on the road and never has any issues. Rocky is quick across the line with tons of speed, is strong to the horn and has a good face. His cow and natural stop make him very fun to heel on. We’ve breakawayed calves on him and he’s patterned on the barrels. We’ve liked having Rocky around because he’s a no-nonsense kind of horse and will show up ready for any kind of work every day. He’s a good, solid citizen and every hour on his back is enjoyable. You can leave Rocky off for weeks at a time and have no worries when you get back on, there is no buck or funny business with him. Rocky is built really well, is always sound, has big feet, a low tail, good mane and is very easy on the eyes. He is laidback, quiet and a gentleman who will make you proud wherever you take him.
