TWIZZLER

It’s become our habit to bring the very best of our herd to Rancho Rio each year. We want buyers to hit the ground running and winning when they buy a horse from Wilson Cattle Co. For that reason, we are excited to have Twizzler here this year. He comes equipped with a fine-tuned handle making him fun and easy to maneuver. He is a no-nonsense horse who simply wants to work correct every time. Twizzler is a true teammate, making roping as easy as it can be. He is stoic in the box, scores solid in any setup, never takes any shortcuts and has the magic move across the pen we love, and those fast feet give him a snappy face. He makes the same run every time and never changes, even if you enter up or rope all day. Twizzler takes no tuning and can be left off for any amount of time with no worries when you get back on. He is one of the winningest horses we have pulled down the road. Twizzler puts paychecks in the hands of everyone‚ and there have been many who have jackpoted on him. Brooke has so much faith in Twizzler, he was the only horse she took Vegas for the WS Finale in 2022. From the 14.5 to the 10.5, Twizzler worked the same on every one of the many steers she ran. He’s spent two winters in Arizona and won money in every arena in the Wickenburg area. In 2022, at the Riata Buckle at the Lazy E, Twizzler and Brooke had the fast time in the 13.5 and won the 10.5. After that win, Brooke let other headers, from number 3s to 8s, take him to jackpots. There has not been a time those folks haven’t come back with a smile on their faces and a check in their hands. He makes heading, and winning, easy for anyone on his back. Twizzler is also great on the heel side. He even went back to the Riata Buckle in 2023 as a heel horse where he was ridden by a number 5 roper who said his heeling has never been better because of how easy he makes catching two feet. He got the call from Brooke in Vegas again this year. Twizzler is also one of the prettiest horses we could bring to the sale, he has a striking blazed-faced, red roan, with four white legs. He stands a perfect 15 hands and tips the scale to 1,300 pounds. Twizzler is blessed with lots of forelock, mane and tail to complete the whole pretty package. It doesn’t stop there, though, with his beauty equally matching his brawn and brains. He was ranch-raised and ranch-ridden—the only way we like our horses to start out. He knows a hard day’s work and has done every job on the ranch. Twizzler is a well-made horse and we have never had to take him to the vet. He knows where his feet are, is very fast-footed and clean with his footwork. He is a genuinely nice guy with a willingness to please. Twizzler’s video library is long and includes many ropers riding him so you can see how easy it is to get on and go right to work with him. We encourage any interested buyers to come give him a try.
