Top 20 High-Selling Horses of 2020

The Horse Sale at Rancho Rio took place on March 6, in Wickenburg, Ariz., in conjunction with the National Team Roping (NTR) National Finals VI. The sixth annual sale drew spectators and buyers from all over the U.S. and Canada and saw record sales of more than $1.3 million. With 62 consignments averaging $30,965, it continues to be the premier rope horse sale of the Team Roping Capital of the World.

LOT 5: PALO DURO PLAYBOY - $150,000

Palo Duro Playboy, was the high seller at a record setting $150,000. "Gunslinger" was sired by Palo Duro Cat by High Brow Cat out of the Freckles Playboy mare Tasmanian Playgirl. The 2012 buckskin gelding was consigned to the sale by Mozaun McKibben, Whitesboro, Texas, and purchased by Steve Gilbert, Toquerville, Utah.
