Amigo is a trustworthy, true friend and a gentleman’s ride. A part of Team Turner for years, and it will be hard letting him go! He is a horse who can stand for months, hassle-free to saddle up and ride off into the sunset.
Forgiving, easy to operate, a horse that we let visitors to the ranch ride, whether they be a casual trail rider, or a #3 header to #9 heeler. He is truly for all.
Proven money winner in the Heading, Heeling, Breakaway, Ranch Riding, Cow horse, and Trails. Has packed our smallest family member and then went to win the 12 roping that afternoon!
With exceptional box manners, lets you get a start on and get your rope up, hunts the cow, has a lot of rate, a cool move in the corner, and a smooth face. On the heeling side, he scores like a shot dog, has excellent timing, and lets you see feet at the corner. Does not take your shot away from you and gives you every opportunity to win on both ends. Has been successfully shown and hauled from the 7 (tied on) and up.
Along with all his talents in the arena, he is also impressive outside; trail rides, bicycles, road flares, and surprises do not faze him. Makes a day on the trail a breeze as he goes right where he is pointed in any terrain he is faced with. A Ranch Foreman horse watches a cow, confident, solo or with a group, walks out nicely, easily side passes to the gates & enjoys a day’s work! A big help on fall hunting trips in the mountains, too, leading a pack string, he has seen all in remote country. Guides easily, quiet & smooth with a natural level headset, and carries himself easily across the ground.
He keeps quiet as a church mouse; he is often overlooked because of his calm and well-mannered demeanor. You’ll drive the wheels off your pickup to find a comparable to Amigo.
If you’re a timid rider or looking for the sweetest ride, it would be worth your time to ride Amigo. Our ranch is a few miles from Rancho Rio give us a call and come meet him, 406-381-2347 TurnerPerformanceHorses.com
